??About Mitko
Hey there, welcome to That Remote Life. My name is Mitko Karshovski and my goal is to help you become location independent so you can:
- Travel the world
- Spend more time with your family and loved ones
- Make your own schedule
- …and work on what you want, when you want.
If that sounds like something you might be down for then you, my friend, are in the right place.
I first heard the term digital nomad in 2015 while working on a tech startup and living in Cincinnati, Ohio. My goal had always been to start my own company so I could be free…whatever the hell that meant.
Later that year I happened upon a podcast which mentioned the term “digital nomad”. It peaked my curiosity so I Googled it.
When I read the definition of what a digital nomad was it was like reading exactly what I had always wanted from my life:
Freedom to travel the world, work when I wanted to and from wherever I wanted as long as there was WiFi.
No more cubicles, no more hour-long commutes, and ties. It was the definition of freedom as I had envisioned it but was never able to define it.
Knowing what I wanted to do, and what I wanted my life to look like was not enough though…
I now had to find a way to actually make it work.
I spent the next two years reading hundreds of articles, dozens of books, and listening to countless hours of podcasts in an attempt to understand how to work remotely and do so successfully.
Finally, in January of 2017, I started earning enough money online to quit my 9 to 5 job and become location independent.
A few months later I got on a plane headed for Europe where I spent 4 months without skipping a beat.
Over the course of my remote journey, I have earned money in tons of different ways: dropshipping, Amazon FBA, social media marketing, copywriting, web development, coaching, project management, and I even helped run a marketing agency.
What this has allowed me to do is take a peek behind the curtain of how many different types of remote workers are achieving success without ever setting foot in an office.
Through this website, I will uncover the strategies and techniques used by remote workers of all levels: from entrepreneurs and freelancers to full-time employees.
With this knowledge, I hope that I can help other people interested in working remotely do so without having to sacrifice their professional aspirations.
Welcome to the beginning of Your Remote Life.
